Joy… <3

I miss her so badly, as she sits, bored, on her own, on ‘holiday’ to snoreville, on the Northern border of France, with no way to contact me except via expensive text messages or extortionate call rates. I have no credit, but I do have some money, so I was seriously considering visiting her.

Oh how I miss my one and only true love.

Today has been torture, trying to conentrate on coursework, but I just couldn’t do it in the end because I was so worried about her.

Even though she can’t read this, I may as well say that I love her. And I always will.

The surprise arrived today and she seemed suitably pleased. It was, of course, the album ‘Fearless’ by Taylor Swift which contains ‘our song’, Love Story.

Netbook Advice and External Mistakes

It’s a good feeling when people ask you for help. It shows they’re recognizing your talents. Today, this guy from Church emailed me (or Facebook messaged me to be precise asking what the best netbook is and which

ive found this at pc world:

http://www.facebook.com/l/;http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0737622441.1248098059@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccdfadehkmjllfkcflgceggdhhmdgml.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=686090&category_oid=-36594

it seems the same spec as the dell mini 10 but its £40 cheaper. Does this seem like a good deal?

also do you knwo somewhere that i could get a fairly cheap but good external dvd drive?

And my reply:

Heya Sharkey,

Just a word of warning: Try to avoid messaging via FB because I barely ever check my inbox on there. I don’t get message notifications either so it’s pure luck that I looked up to the main toolbar and saw the number ‘1′ sitting there.

Anyway, netbooks… the best netbook on the market if you’re considering getting one is the Samsung NC10. But don’t get that just yet because there are updated models just around the corner. The NC20, a review of which you can read here, is to be released soon, so stick around if you wanna get the best of the best.

As for an external hard drive, Maxtor is unbeatable. Their latest effort, the One Touch 4 Plus, comes in four sizes – the biggest is a terabyte (1000GB if you’re wondering), and that costs a measly £88. The other models are just as cheap, and boast 750GB, 500GB and 320GB capacities respectively. You can find a review of the One Touch 4 Plus here.

All the best,

Jeeves

Then I re-read the email and discovered that he’d put ‘external DVD drive’, and not ‘external hard disk’. Silly me.

Sorry, I read your message incorrectly. I thought you wrote external hard disk whereas you actually wrote external DVD drive.

The best for external DVD drives is LG, and one of the best commercially available at this time is currently on sale at Currys for just £69.99. For this you’ll get a heck of lot, including LightScribe abilities. Sure, you may not think you need that, but you never know when the time will come when you wanna burn your own CD and automatically label it. It’ll connect to your computer via a USB 2.0 cable which is included in the deal. What’s more, the Slimline looks really nice, unlike most grey, rectangular external DVD drives. Find out more about the Slimline here.

All the best,

Jeeves.

Day One

As I woke this morning, I knew it was just the first torturous days of a five-day saga, during which I won’t be able to speak to Joy, see her or communicate with her in any form. She’s being dragged off to her mother’s friend’s house for five whole days. What’s more, the place Joy’s going apparently has absolutely nothing to do, so she’s gonna be extremely bored without friends nearby.

Unlike a lot of guys would, I’m not thinking ‘finally, a break away from her’ or ‘this is a perfect opportunity to have some real fun’ or anything like that. I’m seriously worried and concerned, and missing her badly. It’s a terrible feeling to struggle with.

Oh well, there’s nothing I can do now.
